Bush aims to give us more control over our retirement money
according to todays press conference anyway. Still pushing private accounts with this same old message.

If he REALLY wants to give ME control over MY Social Security money, then I DEMAND that he stop spending the "trust fund" and pay back all the money that he has taken from it in the last four years.

I DEMAND that he stop spending MY tax dollars on his ill conceived "barn storming" tours and funnel the money that he is spending on those trips directly into the Social Security trust fund NOW.

I DEMAND that he begin to cut the waste from his "staff" (you can start with what ever you pay ROVE, dude) and place that money into the Social Security trust fund.

I DEMAND that he stop "vacationing" so much and funnel the money that he spends flying back and forth to "cut brush" on his ranch be funneled into the Social Security trust fund.

I DEMAND that he "find the means" to correct the issues facing Social Security, Medicare and all other programs that effect the quality of life for the citizens and that they be a top priority before he considers "heroic measures" for the "culture of life" for one person because he thinks it would be a means to replinish his political "capital" for him to do so.

I DEMAND that a bill for that "congressional circus" surrounding the Terri Schiavo case be presented to the asshat republicans (yes, I'm looking at you Frist and Delay) to pay from their own private funds, with the resulting money given to the ethics committee to further investigate their sorry asses.

Don't talk to me about giving ME more control buddy. You might not like what I choose to do with that power.

</end rant> Thanks for listening.

1. Actually, individuals will still have no control over that money.
But you know who will, and who stands to make a killing off of this? WALL STREET.

4. That was sort of my point
They keep saying we will have control over "our money". Then give me control if MINE right now and I will tell you what I want them to do with it.

This is a world upside down and the sheeple are believing it because they don't get it -- and Bush can't sell it to the rest of us.

It's all a waste of time and money. According to them, adding insult to injury, it's OUR money they are wasting.

Bush fiddles while the economy burns.

2. His reply, "Who cares what you think..."
"You're just a focus group anyway".

3. What? By keeping it in an old coffee can stashed in a closet?
Between his ruinous economic policies and his plans for Social Security, that's about the only way we'll have anything left to retire on. And then it'll be a question of whether greenbacks are still even worth anything.
