You know it's coming. Remember the whole Trent Lott fiasco? As if it had just, at that moment, dawned on them that Mr. Lott might just maybe, possibly, be a racist.

Result: Lott out, the more reliable Bill "9-Lives" Frist in - and the Senate is now perilously close to the "nuclear option" which would turn it into a rubber stamp for the Bush** agenda. Lott, whatever else he may be, at least had enough respect for the Senate as an institution not to pull a stunt like that.

I am concerned that something similar may be in the works on the House side -- but who's out there that's any worse than the Bugman?!

1. DeLay pretty much is the worst
I imagine that the position would probably go to someone more moderate, especially if DeLay is censured or arrested or something like that.

7. Yeah, but Cromyn is working on it
he's doing the "nuttier than thou" bit to impress the fundies on dismantling the third branch of government, the judiciary.

He won't get it, though, too green.

8. Someone more moderate?
So, you mean, like anybody still living?

2. These people come from a bottomless sewer.
When Gingrich was around, we didn't pay much attention to DeLay. With DeLay around, we're not paying much attention to their unending supply of swine.

Let's just hope they keep DeLay there. It would provide our best line of attack in the 2006 elections.

3. I love DeLay!
I hope he dangles long enough to get soundly defeated next year, just before his arrest. I hope he flushes a large load of Rethuglican toilet logs down the drain with him.

4. Isn't Roy Blount next in line?
Not much difference between him and Delay.
