90. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080261/

On edit, everyone seems against this idea, so go there, vote "no" and say something nasty about why you want him to stick around.

1. Uh, maybe not ...
If we keep him front and center as the Poster Boy for the Fundie Branch of the GOP, it would work to the Dems advantage in '06.

We need an easily identifiable demon on whom to hang all their baggage, and Bugman wears it SO VERY WELL ...

17. I did.
And thank you for the poll. I sent it to over two hundred by e-mail. Let's hope many of them will vote to. :)

21. I hope they all post comments to the effect that the dems want
him to stick around and smell up the place. Those could be more effective than a "yes" vote if anyone reads the things.

Don't take kindly to opinions that differ from yours, huh ?

19. Calm down. I even changed the message when so many
people disagreed, although there is another thread where folks are arguing exactly the opposite view. Seems that this is a "how bad should the garbage stink before you throw it out?" issue. Some people are of the opinion that it should ripen some more, while others are afraid of germs, flies and such. Never thought this would be so contentious.

I will never ask you a rhetorical question again since they seem to hurt your feelings.

28. I'm not the one who needs to calm down ...
I'm merely pointing out the obvious.

Have a look at the other responses you've posted on this thread, then take a deep breath ...

PEACE.

30. Hard to take a deep breath. I started smoking again on Nov. 3
after * got "re-elected." Just quit again recently. DeLay and Martinez make my blood boil.

Martinez in grade school: "My dog ate my homework, I was going to get it out of the dog's ass, but the dog died, then I was going to cut it out of the dog, but-unbeknown to me, my parent's had the dog cremated."

Peace to you too.

23. I absolutely agree
Keep Hot Tub Tommy The Bugman flailing in the water for as long as the election in 2006, where he finally fades out after losing his seat.

Keep him front and center. To get rid of him now only hurts our chances in 2006.

6. Who nominates a replacement if he resigns?
or is there a special election?

I think keeping Delay around might be helpful in 2006, but he should resign as House Majority leader.

10. I voted NO!!
I want him as majority leader well into next year. I want him to be indicted in September '06 and I want him doing the perp walk into the Travis County courthouse just before the November '06 elections. Every incumbent Republican congressman can have Delay wrapped around their necks.

at least the perception will be that the Dems have lost and we have lost enough. We need some momentum and getting rid of Delay NOW will give us that!

16. If he stays he will be indicted and convicted and thrown in jail
And that will be a much more effective image to hang on these bastards. Much better than letting him slither away in the dead of night.

case until the end of *'s term when the chimp will pardon him.

27. Voted -- Now on to Part II
Send Tom Delay a warm e-mail of support, something like "Don't let the liberal media derail the great work that you've done for the American people." Something like that. Because we really don't want Delay to resign -- we want him hanging like a boat anchor around the neck of the Congressional Republicans in the next election. Here's the link for e-mailing Delay.

31. Today's poll (tuesday) was....
Iraq two years later: Has the US made progress in the war on terror?

My answer: NO!!!!

My written comments:

The question is flawed!

Iraq had NOTHING to do with the war on terror! Saddam had no connection to Sept 11. Iraq was never a threat to America. There were no weapons of mass destruction to create a Sept 11th.

The Bush Administration tried to link Iraq and Sept 11 for years. Their assertions have been vetted and defined as complete drivel.

Why is MSNBC still delivering day-old, debunked White House talking points that have been exposed as propaganda, lies and utter nonsense?
