I watched the C-Span repeat of NPC Guckert fest with Wonkette and Yglesias

Frankly, my impression is that Gukckert a.k.a. Gannon is approching 50 years old hard....he's too overweight to impress the folks looking for the "Fawn" or the 81/2 inch cut or for "tight ass, hard muscled BULLDOG Jeff."

Frankly Gan/Guck looked like a "has been" fighting for his life but with a certain appealing vulnerability that makes him seem kind of credible.

I felt the "Panel" which questioned him (young journalists) was kind of weak like they were so embarrassed to be on the same roundtable as the "Fawn" that they were sort of awed and silenced into submission.

I'm kind of sorry I watched the damned thing because it made me worry for the future of American Journalism if old, balding Jimmy/Jeff/Bulldog could get so much airtime to swill his lies and the rest of the panel excepting Wonkette who was "loaded for bear" and could beat him up in a second was so intimidated by this lying POS who is on the payroll of the Repugs and loving every minute of his fame.

:puke: It was disgusting...disgusting....disgusting. It's repeated later tonight for those who want to watch the damned thing on C-Span II.

...that Guckert seems to have AGED noticably in the last few months, NOT as a slam against 50 year-olds.

Because he HAS!

One of the reasons people gave some credence to the 'Gosch' theory was because 'Bulldog' looked MUCH younger than the age (48) he claimed to be...

But he is easily a believable 48 these days. Is it stress, fear...or can he just not afford gym membership and MAKEUP these days (like printer ink)?

parts that I dared enough to click through worrying that to go further would cause my Spybot/Adaware to go crazy showed more than I wanted to see from Jimmy/Jeff. I don't do "porn."

So...Jimmy/Jeff has a "side business" where he gussies himself up to look like a new car...maybe a sportscar where one can go with the "top down" on long roads...but in fact he's kind of an ordinary "approaching 50 Something," who's paid by the Right Wing Repugs...and he gets to be on a C-Span panel with REAL Journalists because he got caught?

:shrug: You are making this about age...I'm making it about politics and a guy who sold himself as a BMW or perhaps a Camero convertable Sports Car who is not a journalist or a sports car..:-( He's a paid for Repug Shill who walks the walk and talks the talk and got paid off for keeping silent and is just "deer in the headlights" enough not to get most Americans too worried about him. :shrug: Just my opinion.

10. Yes, his "salad" days are behind him.

He's not gonna be able to fall back on that other career, except maybe in a B&D sitch, a narrow "specialty" act or in a supervisory roll.

So, he seems to be determined to make some ho money by getting into legitimate press functions and trying to think on his feet, not his better talent.

"Uh, uh, uh, uh, if...iff...if I had added the words "he didn't say this but it would be a riot if he said soup lines" it would have been a true question".

"That's what the LAST administration did. They (insert projection here)".

I say we keep him around and kick his ass every chance we get.

11. It was disgusting

I saw a 17 min clip on one of the blogs and it seemed they were deferential to guckert and he got way too much time to spew his venom. I blame the moderator who had no control. Wonkette was the bright spot and I wish she had time to finish her questions. Guckert seemed well coached to talk over everyone. Seemed more like a RW talk fest that an actual panel.

They only good part was when the audience cracked up when JG said "You think Fox News is Conservative?"

Everything else was regrettable and forgettable.

and allowed myself to vent more than perhaps I should have. The audience reaction was great...agree with you about the rest.
