An early foray into '08 Presidential politics

So I'm on my way back from dinner with this guy who watches way too much cable news (a lifelong Dem, he did something in Nov. that will live in infamy), and he's throwing out names of candidates -- starting with Hillary, so you know the discussion can only go down from there.

A few blocks later: "I hear the Republican governor of Virginia is pretty popular".

Being belted into the passenger seat, I refrained from banging my head against the windshield :argh: , settling instead for chuckling, "Funny, so is the Democratic governor of Virginia, Mark Warner."

What does it say when someone as obsessively well-informed as this guy thinks one of our top Dem candidates (at this earliest stage) is a repuke??!!
