My letter to Barbara Mikulski
The average U.S. household's 2004 federal income tax payment was $6,296 in 2004. Of that amount, $1,887 went to the military and defense, while $1,171 went to interest on the debt. Senator Mikulski, please help stop this obscene war, we invaded one of the richest nations on earth, we have spent billions and what is the result. We went in to topple Hussein, he's gone, we went in looking for weapons of mass destruction, there are none, why are we still there, Britain is pulling 2/3's of its troops out, the Ukraine and Italy are leaving. Our country is impoverished, George W. Bush is trying to yank our social security pension's away from us, while he gives a free ride to every corporate ceo and lobbyist, why are we continuing to fight a war whose sole purpose is to enrich defense contractors and oil companies. Please take action, quit throwing our boys lives away. The Iraqi people will never forget the brutal torture of their people, the use of napalm, depleted uranium, tanks and drones in a country where half the population is comprised of women and children. Please stop this obscene war, stop throwing money into the mouth of the war mongers.

2. Thanks
Let's hope that we can get out of there, I never supported it in the first place, today at CNN I heard that there have been over 1 million troops that have served either in Afghanistan or Iraq since 911. I think we really need to reassess what is going on and what it is costing us.
