The Mother of All Contradictions...chimp praises Pope, puts foot in mouth
From the Associated Press story Bush to Show Gratitude at Pope's Funeral

During their final meeting last June, the pope said he had "grave concern" about events in Iraq. The pontiff was quick to tell Bush about his deep disagreement with the war in Iraq, the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. troops and Bush's support for the death penalty.

Bush said the pope will be remembered for the huge influence he had on the lives of young people around the world and how he demonstrated "that one man can make a difference in people's lives."

"He's a courageous person. He's a moral person. He was a godly person," Bush said. It is "my great honor, on behalf of our country, to express our gratitude to the Almighty for such a man. And of course we look forward to the majesty of celebrating such a significant human life."

So then, for the record...the chimp's mouth to our ears.
It is courageous, moral, and godly to oppose the war in Iraq, the abuse of Iraqi prisoners, and the death penalty.

Thank you, Dim Son. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

2. Only if you're pope. If, on the other hand, you're an American citizen...
...you're placed under surveillance, strong armed out of B*sh events, and branded as a traitor.

3. We already knew that Bush is a Coward, Immoral, and a religious hypocrite
who fakes his relationship with God just to garner some votes from the wingnut base of his party.

7. Hey, Shrub, I don't need YOU to thank the Almighty on my behalf
for ANYTHING. Some of us actually do know how to pray, y'know. What an arrogant slug.

8. Oh that's just GREAT!!!
Bush is going to be speaking TO GOD--on behalf of all of us?

GREAT! Let's send a warmongering, sociopathic, alcoholic narcissist to be our mouthpiece to the Lord.

JUST GREAT!!

I hope that God knows that this pipsqueak does not represent me, at all!!

I'm so scared about this nitbrain going over to this solemn, sacred service.

It's like sending Jim Carrey on roller skates in a rooster costume to a High Tea at Windsor.

Someone stop this train wreck!

godliness, and I stood in the shadow of his great love while thinking that it wouldn't slow down my invasion one hour."

10. George Bush: the Eddie Haskell president.
Or Frank Burns, although he was a lot more likeable.

11. junior's polls numbers will skyrocket if he goes to the funeral
and all goes well.

In fact junior may be the first to greet the new Pope and give him new ideas on how to govern the world.

Plan on hearing more poop talk if the coward doesn't back down from his trip to Rome.

13. I think attending the funeral will be a mistake
I'm not very superstitious, but showing up at this solemn event for such a good man (I believe the Pope was) for political gains will not bode well for *. Wait and see.
