Great DeLay outing on Talk of the Nation today.
Tom is was one only 28 Congressmen to vote AGAINST the Americans with Disabilities Act. (too hard on businesses)

Filed a law suit against a medical device company after he agreed to pull the plug on his own dad. (one of the loudes voices in Congress for tort reform and cutting back on what consumers can sue for.)

more...listent to the NPR show today.

2. It wasn't a medical device
his father was building a tram? to go from their home down to the lake...must have been a big embankment. He built the thing and was seriously injured when it broke. They sued the manufacturer of some sort of widget that held something. It seemed ridiculous to me.

7. Looking for the truth .. seriously.
In the past day or two was a wire report that Delay's father was critically injured in an on-the-job oil field accident. Benddem, I don't have a link. Do you? I'd like to get the straight skinny on this.

Poster-boy for GOP hypocrisy.

9. Thanks! Tram accident verified. Second question ..
Four hours later, he was airlifted by helicopter to the Brooke Army Medical Center at Ft. Sam Houston.

Daddy Delay was a civilian at the time. Toxic-Tommy famously dodged the draft by blaming it on the Negro quota system. WTF? How and why was daddy Delay medevaced to a US Army specialty hospital? Need answer before I blow up. Know what I mean Vern?

3. He is a disgrace....
to the human race. Read this from the San Diego Union Tribune

http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20050325/news_lz1ed25top.html

<snip> – it's hard to decide which of DeLay's comments was more offensive. Was it when DeLay referred to Michael Schiavo's lawyer as "the embodiment of evil"? Or when he accused those who disagreed with him of being "so barbaric as to pull a feeding tube out of a person that is lucid and starve them to death for two weeks"? <snip>

<snip> DeLay believes that part of what is "going on" is that his political opponents are out to get him and other conservatives with what he considers frivolous charges. DeLay, the House majority leader, was admonished last year by the Ethics Committee for three separate issues, and he now faces questions about foreign trips funded by outside groups.<snip>

:wtf:
