MSNBC: PROTESTS CONTINUE
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 06:31 AM by montana500
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7293186/

after a week of maybe 50 protestors outside the hospice things are REALLY heating up now!

Does anyone else believe this shit? Tens of thousands protest and it doesn't make the top story. Yet 50 protestors gets the headline for two weeks?

huh?

1. The key is to protest something the media WANTS to cover.

Maybe anti-war protesters should hang around Paris Hilton's house or the Michael Jackson trial.

4. CNN showed protesters outside a Home Depot a couple weeks ago
protesting illegals. Guess how many? 10,000? No, 1,000, No, 100, No. there were 12. And it was important enough to be shown on corporate media. Yet the Peace rallies all across the US barely got a mention. The only way rallies against the administration are going to make it on the corporate news is if protesters get in the media's face, outside their door, and stay there.

7. The next time there is a massive anti-war/anti-Bush protest
we need to bombard the media beforehand and tell them they better give it thorough coverage the way they have for this spectacle.

10. There is a ban on showing anti-war and anti-Bush protests
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 09:37 AM by KurtNYC
There is also a ban on showing injured soldiers, body bags and coffins.

The only way they are going to show an anti-war protest is if they think it will make the anti-war movement look bad. This kind of thing didn't stop people in the 1960s. They made ludicrous statements in advance like saying they were going to "levitate the Pentagon." They believed that "bad" publicity was better than no publicity at all.

8. the money from donations................................selling videos
...................I don't believe they could stoop so low.........

According to the Web site, RightMarch was formed in 2003 "to give hundreds of thousands of hardworking, patriotic Americans ... a strong collective voice."

"They're Going to Kill My Daughter Terri Schiavo Unless Good People Like You Help us Stop Them," writes Bob Schindler, Schiavo's father, in an Internet solicitation letter for the Life Legal Defense Foundation, which helped underwrite the Schindler family's legal fees.

Donors of $100 or more can receive a videotape of Schiavo in her bed, as can anyone who promises to show the tape and the solicitation letter to friends.
