The Weakness in the GOP noise machine
All that has happened in the last couple weeks has revealed a big weakness in the gop noise machine. It jumps on any issue there "eye's and ears" feel is a good one. If we can properly manipulate those "eyes and ears" and get them to rally around bad information, it would really hamper there noise machine and cause them to distrust each other.

3. it doesn't need to be false--just get religious right in a tizzy
about something repugnant to everybody else.

For example, how hard would it be to get them whipped up about:

outlawing

alcohol
pre-marital sex
masturbation
dancing

or

Requiring

modest dress (no shorts, cleavage, or bare midriffs for women).
church attendance
moms to stay home and take care of kids
(this is could really be explosive--evangelical stay at home mom's take great pride in this)

4. Their own tribes (in this case the religious right) will
turn on them. Simply by pussing their agenda and not taking no for an answer it mean the manipulattors cannot stagemanage.

I would stay away from emulating them - if I were you. They are doomed to failure.. phonyness never wins in the end and the emporer already is known to have no clothes.

I think it be more important that we stick to who we are and push our message out effectively and teach each other about empathy for christians..and all the devout. Liberals need more respect for the ones who are walking the walk.

And we can highlight things like "It's a man's turn". My catch phrase for encouraging 'reversable operations' for teen boys so they cannot impregnate anyone ountil they are planning on it. Also the male birth control pill. All of this would double the amount of birth control out there. And reduce abortions.

So that is where we should be. Coming up with Good Information. That is the difference between the Repukes and the Democrats. Democrats are for GOOD INFORMATION.

5. The reason for this is actually quite simple ...
many of their base are batshit CA-RAZY. They are quite good at putting on a sane face (see Jack Torrence in the Shining before Wendy found the "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" manuscript) and can play act for extended period, portraying people who are actually sane.

But make no mistake ... there are son real crazy sons-of-bitches they count on and when those assholes get going, they are almost impossible to control.
