Been a while for me. Maybe it's time we bring it back around in an updated form: Tax and Give

After all, when you spend it implies you actually get something. Like for instance, Medical Care, or Retirement Security for our elders.

Congress, The REPUBLICANS, passed the 80 BILLION tax and give to Halliburton, Lockheed-Martin, etc. Nobody in the US is really getting anything for this money.

Tax and Spend? Bah, they're TAXING and GIVING!

-Hoot

Thinking this will drop like a lead balloon.

3. The "Red Ink Republicans" are digging such a hole that all the
revenue enhancements, that's what they called them in Reagan's day, won't keep Bush from getting labelled The Worst President EVER.

They could staunch the bleeding by recinding Bush's Tax Cuts to the wealthiest, and give in on Medicare and SS, in order to save his precious 'legacy', but hubris -- something this bunch has in carload lots -- prevents rational thinking.

I only hope the country can persevere though another four years of economic stagnation and outsourcing etc. The Greenspan grovelling in support of Bush's idiotic policies doesn't help either.

Both deserve to be shown the door.
