So what will "they" do to the judicial system now?

Now that the fundies/Republican nutsies/etc. are oh so mad at the bad bad judges, what "grassroots" movement can we expect?

Of all the fallout of this case, that's what I worry about the most. Many of these judges were Republican nominated, so it isn't even about that anymore. It is about the judicial system itself now, isn't it?

What are they going to do?

1. Continue the attacks

and try to destroy an independent judiciary...

By the way, locally they will run for Judges, you do not need a JD to run to become a Judge.

Be very scared, to have a judge whose law derives from his interpretation of the Bible

2. They'll try court packing or something of the sort

but, since their manipulativeness and cynicism has been so blatantly exposed, they will get their heads handed back to them. This was the turning point, IMHO.

3. yes, that's been the real goal all along - destruction of the judicial

system and the checking power it holds over the other branches of the government. The fascists want no controlling forces to stand in their way.

If TS dies, the "activist judges" will be blamed for killing her. The hatred willl be whipped up by the neocons and the nazi-collaborator press.

Then will come the NEXT test case (which is all poor Terri's breathing dead body ever was to them) and the NEXT and the NEXT.

Meanwhile new fascist-sympathizing and corrupt judges will be taking the places of outgoing ones. If they succeed in outlawing fillibustering, the worst scum will be promoted to the bench and the last vestiges of a tripartite government of checks and balances willl be swept away. At that time,

4. I'm guessing that only God will be able to pick new judges. Or Bush of

course. Since he was chosen by God to rule the world..that sounds reasonable.
