The reason neo-cons want Terri to die.
Maybe someone has posted this already. B*shco pretends they want Terri to live. If Terri dies, b*sh will blame "liberal judges" even though the most conservative justices in the country don't want to touch this. The outrage from fundies would give b*shco more ammo to pack the courts with radical evangelical conservative judges.

1. So they can use her in a commercial
They'll show pictures of Terri before her collapse and then a snippet of video where it appears she responds. An ominous voice will bellow "the Democrats killed her".

That's all. She's nothing but a pawn in their sick games.

4. I have an important question. Hope someone can answer? -->
Why is it we only see photos of Terry Schiavo in the year of 2001. That is, why have we seen NO photos or video of her within the past 3-4 years.

Why do you think that is? Has the woman's condition degraded? Why are NOT the Corporate Media investigating this issue?

I am indebted to a friend on another board for this. (I did not want to weigh down the thread with the actual pic.)

2. They're trying to tie it into the 10th amendment and states rights to
overturn Roe v. Wade. They'll argue if the states can determine right to die issues as in Schiavo, they should also be able to determine abortion issues without federal interference.

They are setting themselves up for a win/win on this. To paint Dems as uncaring, insensitive to the needs of a family fighting to save their child, and will turn it to say, well, we cared as Repubs, but since they have ruled that the states should make these decisions why isn't that applicable to abortion...I'm already seeing this on blogs.

Get ready.

3. The fundies don't have the numbers.................
to blackmail bush with that threat. A great majority of people in this country oppose this dog and pony show. Maybe they'll finally wake up and notice that their country has been hijacked by a group of cheap, ignorant, nazis.
We can only hope.

5. 58% of the federal judiciary was nominated by Repukes...
I don't doubt they will try and spin it as you say...but it rings a little hollow, and I think people are finally catching up to his phony act, about a day late and a dollar short.

Fer cryin' out loud, the judiciary is dominated by them, if they don't like it they have nobody but themselves to blame....the party of personal responsibility my ass....
