6. I'm in acronym hell here
IW in the original message? PVS in the one I'm replying to?

Google: acronym IW -- gets me these, none of which make sense to me in context:
Information Warehouse
Injured Worker
Inland Water
Information Warfare
intellectual whore
Interactive World
Invisible War
Internet World
Imperial Warlords
Integrated Weather
Independently Wealthy
industrial waste

Google: acronym PVS -- gets these:
Parallel Visualization Server
Principal variation search
Potato virus S
periscope view simulators

So the polls are turning negative on industrial waste and 5% favor potato virus S. Am I being a :dunce:? Can someone clue me in to what you guys are talking about?

Well, okay, seriously. I also found "Permanent Vegetative State" and "Persistent Vegatative State" for PVS, and I presume one of those is what you meant. And IW must refer to the idiot who shall not be named, but what non-name does IW stand for? "Idiot W"? "Ignorant W"? "Imbecile W"?

10. Sorry! I hate acronyms, too. I meant persistent veg state
I assume, perhaps wrongly, that the other poster meant Iraq War.

12. Oh, haha, I'm sorry! IW stands for Iraq War. If I didn't use an acronym,
the title line wouldn't fit. Sorry about the confusion. :P

13. Thanks. About 30 seconds after I posted, it hit me...
that IW meant Iraq War. But I was already a bit enamored with Potato Virus S, so I let it be.

4. I thought the Newsweek poll was interesting half way down
about the iraq people being better off two questions asked of by only half the people. are the iraqis better off now making it 60+%. I actually heard this from someone last night. that it was okay that we are killing people over there since they were killing off their own people anyway, but she refused seeing any of the pictures of the dead women and child.. go figure.

5. This is good news, but I can't believe the numbers aren't
something like 80%-15% against, with 5% undecided.

8. Polls in America are not accurate. Look at the exit polling. Polls
are tools of propoganda in America.

9. I saw almost 60% in one for a pullout asap
I have seen polls in the sixties for a pullout of troops as soon as possible.
