Gay coupled pictured in USANext anti-AARP ad sues
According to NPR, USANext never asked for permission to use the photo. They weren't bright enough to use models and just snatched up a photo an stuck it in the ad. Now the two men in the photo are suing and as part of discovery want ALL of USANext's records, including donor lists.

There IS a Santa Claus.

4. I have always wondered about that.
Like when CNN is doing a segment on obesity and they're showing these fat rear-ends walking down the street. Do they have to get permission from these people if they don't show their faces? Does simply showing up in public dissolve your right to privacy?

5. If you are publishing it you need a model's release
The exceptions are if it is a celebrity or if the person is unrecognizable, ie, the butt end of a person. You have to obtain permission from a person before you can publish the photo. Otherwise you open yourself up to lawsuits.

6. Good, nothing freaks out a right winger like a law suit
They are absolutely petrified of them because anything is likely to come out under discovery. They are always involved in something they wish to hide. That is just how the GOP is. That is one reason they hate trial lawyers so much but they sure run to use them when there is need..Hypocrites......

7. This was on NPR yesterday
these are not people.
All Things Considered, March 22, 2005 · Behind the fight over possible legislation to overhaul Social Security is a battle for the allegiance of older voters -- and it's turning nasty. A conservative group called USA Next surprised a lot of people by running an online ad attacking the senior citizens' group AARP. The ad charged that AARP's "real agenda" wasn't Social Security or any other seniors' issue, but rather an alleged opposition to the troops in Iraq and alleged support for gay marriage. NPR's Peter Overby reports.
