We shouldn't worry about this Schiavo Bill
It will never go into affect and will be found unconstitutional. I"m sure the lawyer of Michael is on the phone with a judge making sure he can get a stay on the law until it is found to be unconstitutional or not. Since the bill only pertains to Terri, it will be found unconstitutional. But, even if the law applied to every citizen it would still be unconstitutional. I'm sure you all understand why. The thing that pisses me off, besides the republicans blatant disregard for the constitution, is how much time this is waisting. We have anarchy in Iraq, a falling dollar, a rising deficit, and the only thing we can think about doing is "savig" one woman. We need to find out how much time and money this cost us and use is against the republicans in 2006.

1. I agree it will be found unconstitutional
but I think it will take years. The Supreme Court is the only court that can declare it unconstitutional, and they won't do so on an emergency basis.

They will likely reinsert the tube and Terri will linger for a few more years.

2. I don't support what the congress is doing
but aren't they doing all this on the weekend and nights, basically working when they normally wouldn't be?

I agree whatever they do will be declared unconstitutional, all they are doing is half starving Terri to put the tube back in till the court says to pull it back out again.

5. We are paying for Shrub to race back to D.C.
We are paying for the House members who had gone home for Easter recess to come back. I understand the Senate was still in Washington. And that is just the tip of the iceberg for this circus.

6. Yes, And I'll Raise You...
The media has not covered or reported news
well since Iran-Contra.

The media could have destroyed Reagan
for I-C and did not ala handling him
and Buch Inc. with kid gloves.

But Jennifer Flowers, Monica, you bet!

7. But how many lives is the law going to fuck up until its found
unconstitutional?
How many families financially ruined because of it?
How many dying patients NOT getting their final wishes honored because of it?

11. like we shouldn't have worried about Iraq, or the Bankruptcy bill...
or SS?

If bush wants it, he will get his evil way. This is just an another inroad for him to own us. That's what his 'Ownership Society', (they cackle in the secret power back rooms over their fun with us) or whatever slogan blather he's using lately, is really all about.
