Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 05:19 PM by fujiyama
I'd rather have them all at once and get it over with. I'm sick of having this in some kind of drip drip, Chinese water torture process...or getting punched repeatedly. These last few weeks have simply been terrible and I know things will get even worse.

1. Good question and to the point
We're so busy fighting off alligators we forget to drain the swamp...

never forget, the Repubs have an agenda and they're checking off the items one-by-one....we need to get ahead of them.....

2. I'm guessing 'tort reform'
but, after they destroy social security, seems like they are almost out of 'things to do'......guess they'll start another war after that.

11. According to Frank Luntz,.....it's not a draft
it's the:

Opportunity to Serve Act.......

or Minority Full Employment Act of 2005

or Freedom Brigade Manifestation Act of 2005

7. Almost forgot
I suspect MEDICARE is the next biggie on their agenda.....

remember some pundits on our side warned us a month or so ago that Social Security "reform" was just a distraction from their real target MEDICARE. The conservatives see this as socialized medicine and hate it as much as they do SS.....

hmmmm....could this be why dubya doesn't actually have a plan for SS?

8. Here's a few: ;)
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 05:24 PM by Ilsa
All women must turn their shoes into the local authorities. If not currently pregnant, they must report to the nearest fertility clinic over the next thirty days.

All persons of Muslim faith must report to the government to be registered and listening devices implanted. Same deal for registered Democratics.

All books mentioning "evolution" shall be turned in to the Propaganda Minister, Karen Hughes, for destruction on March 30. They will be ground and composted into fuel.

What else? ;)

14. Does it really matter?
Whatever it is, 6-10 Democrats will "cross over" and vote for it, thus ensuring its passage.

We will then get the obligatory statement that they (the Dems) are keeping their powder dry for the REALLY big fight.

None of them will ever realize that all this time someone has been stealing their ammunition, and by the time the battle comes the city will have already fallen.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time...

19. The Dominator Act
An act declaring that the United States is King of the World and dominates over all other nations and species. The act will put into law our right to pillage and rape anything we so choose, because it's part of God's Plan.

The propaganda commercial will have Bush hanging off the front of an oil tanker al a Leo DiCaprio.

21. The way it's going, the Democrats might as well go home until
after the 2006 elections. It's all a waste of time. Just when you think you're going to be on the winning side of things. a handful of Democrats decides to suck up to the Republican side and we're back where we started from: nowhere.

22. "Hybrid vehicles are too dangerous and their development ...
should be delayed"; "School lunches are not nutritious enough and should be provided by outside contractors"; "There should be an extra 'sin tax' on contraceptives/birth control devices"; "Mandatory recycling programs are unconstitutional"; "The internet should adhere to the same 'indecency standards' as radio and television"; "Flag-burning & desecration prohibition (a perennial favorite)"; "The establishment of specifically delineated 'free-speech zones' in major cities for the purpose of 'anti-majority' expression (to ensure the safety of the protesters, of course)"; "A three-day waiting period with background checks before pregnancy termination"; "Exposed tits on public statues should be covered (oh, wait- that's already happening)."
