1. They made me proud
The majority are fighting their hearts out. For many, that isn't even enough. When the people who have been fighting their whole lives don't even get respect and credit, why should the other ones care?

3. You mean
Reid can't control like Frist can? I'm not sure I buy this. What sounds more likely is that they arranged this and those 3 were the ones that thought they could take an anti-environmental hit.

4. that is very untrue
Senators aren't controlled as you say. They voted the way they felt was right. Geography played a large role in the votes as well.

7. More Republicans jumped ranks than Democrats on ANWR
Seriously--start paying attention or quit displaying your ignorance. Either way I'll be a lot happier.

8. Hey dickbag
why is it that their senators can get enough votes to do what they want but ours jump ship?

10. Because they have something called a "majority"
And if you'd like to point out to me a time when all Democratic senators were united and doing the right thing on votes such as these, I'd like to see it. It's never happened; it's always been this way. Right now we barely have enough senators to stop some really bad shit from getting through, as we did last year with Bush's judicial nominees. I'm sick of seeing the whole delegation get blamed for the actions of two or three defectors.

Three to five lousy senators means that all of our senators are worthless? Kennedy, Schumer, Durbin, Rockefeller and many others worked their asses off to get great amendments passed for the bankruptcy bill, and due to the actions of a few you shit all over them? All but three of our senators held ranks and voted against the ANWR nonsense, so therefore all of the democratic delegation are sell-outs? Thanks a lot, Captain Logic.

9. Most pleasently surprised me today
but I can't express how pissed I am at Landriu and Akaka especially, voting for both ANWR and the bankruptcy bill.
