You may recall, this is Bush's hometown paper, which came out in support of Kerry and immediately lost lots of advertisers. Now local businesses refuse to carry the paper.

Many of us subscribed, and I was one. I really enjoy the paper- it pulls no punches and lambastes Bush's dangerous policies. This week there are good columns on social security, the draft, and Jeff Gannon/James Guckert. But, since ads have been down and sales outlets are effectively boycotting the paper, it needs support.

I plan to keep up my subscription, and urge anyone who can afford it to do so. It's $45 per year. Also, you can now buy Lone Star Iconoclast T-shirts for $20.
