8. No, I don't give cookies for kissy poo
from the Vampire in Chief.

Cookie one: Voting for the Bankruptcy amendments offered by his fellow Dem Senators

Cookie two: Voting against final bill.

Voting for cloture: no cookie for you, Senator.

3. Cookies ought to come with consistency, Lieberman voted down
...every ammendment to the bankruptsy bill which democrats presented, then voted against the bill, knowing that it would fly through with the republican majority. I am not impressed by the 18 dino's who voted for the bill.

4. I thought I had him down on March 3rd as having voted FOR them
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 08:34 PM by LittleClarkie
Now I have to try and find those vote roll calls too.

March 3rd was his first cookie for that reason. I think it was the Feingold amendments.

edit: before Thomas.gov started goofing up I worked my way though the amendments offered by Akaka, Durbin, Feingold, and Sessions.

Leiberman voted in favor of the Democratic Senator amendments, and Nay on the Republican one.

Near as I can tell, the only thing so far he did was vote for cloture.

On every other part that I can look up at this time, he voted rightly.

6. Lieberman voted for cloture which made final passage a done deal!
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 08:30 PM by flpoljunkie
Of course, he wasn't alone. There were 13 other Democrats who voted with him enabled this egregious piece of legislation to pass in the Senate.

5. What??
He was fairly consistent voting for the amendments (most of them, at least). He voted for the cloture, which is bad enough, but not against the amendments.

7. Indeed, he voted for most of the amendments
What was the purpose of voting for cloture, I wonder. Resignation?

9. Well, I stand corrected, but what was Cloture and how did that....
...play in making the final bankruptcy bill a done deal?
