Also notice Bush*'s body posture and expression. It's just like Pat Robertson doing his prayers, pretending that he has a pipeline to God and the power to grant favors from God...as long as you send that little check over his ministry. This of course is no accident. Bush* no doubt had to practice impersonating Robertson with his media handlers to get the right effect. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during those practice sessions.

Presidential Propaganda stunts like this would have been rightfully the object of derision and ridicule 30 years ago. It's amazing how constant propaganda can turn otherwise normal logical thinking people into non-thinking dupes. We were a smarter people just a generation ago.

The Bush* imagine makers have been doing this subliminal stuff for years. One of the most vivid I recall was a picture of Bush* during a speech that was taken at a certain angle to place Bush's empty head within a well-lighted gold presidential seal hanging on the wall making it look like he had a saintly halo. The BushBots on Free Republic went wild, excitedly exclaiming that this was a sure sign from God, evidence of his Bush's holiness. I kid you not, they were were actually serious. Some I think were weeping.

Everything in this sick, corrupt administration is contrived for effect with the purpose of controlling weak minds which covers just about all of the Bible Thumping Fundie crowd. BushCo early on targeted this constituency with such imagery and propaganda and it paid off big on Election Day.
