I'm sick of George Stephanopolous
Everytime that he finishes interviewing a Democrat, like John Edwards and Ted Kennedy, the last thing he just has to do is ask them what they think about Hillary Clinton as the nominee in 2008.

I wish one of them would say, "We'd get toasted."

He'd probably fall out of his chair if they did, but I'm frankly sick and tired of him trying to promote her for 2008.

25. if we cross off the list anyone who ever says anything
that we don't like, soon we'll have nobody left to listen to. Actually Steph has been asking some tough and informed questions lately. I don't like the Hillary line either, but compared to some, he's ok.

I do agree that Hillary talk is playing to the repubs. My repub dad would laugh his guts out if she won the primaries.

28. I'm not for x'ing off anybody who disagrees, just the 'same old,
same old' politicians, which she has become. We need new leaders, hard chargers who can mobilize a broad based populist movement. She's now a plutocrat, one of those mysterious ascensions life time politicians make to the very rich category (e.g., LBJ, Dole, etc. etc.). She doesn't have the fire to match the enthusiasm that Dean's generating. I don't agree with Bayh on some issues, for example, but he he steps up and kicks ass, or if someone else who's to the right of me does, I'm on board. We have to really fight for what we believe, not act like patricians and 'global thinkers.' cya around.

It hasn't been on the Boston and NH stations in about a month now.

I'm sick of Hillary talk.

4. Actually Hillary does really well in numerous categories like
blacks, hispanics, etc. All people Bush & co got in the last election.

The right has always attacked her and tried to "brand" her because they are so afraid. One thing for Dems to have the first woman leader. It would be a total other for her to have the brains of a Roosevelt and the kahunas too.

If you think Hillary cannot win... it may be that they were serving the Kool-Aid on her way back in 1992.

6. Bush got the black vote?
Not really! IThe last I read on the analysis which they somehow did form the exit polls that they don't believe for determining the winner. Kerry got something like 89%.

were. Same with hispanics.

9. I feel your fear but I think I may be wrong. I think I bought into a
Repuke smear job the same as they smeared the word "Liberal" in the last 20 years. Sometime when you want to know what the propagandaists are up to... you look at who they go after the most: DEAN & Reid now. Before it was Daschle & Hillary (I use her first name because to use her last name would be unclear).

12. It's because of those smears is why she shoudn't run
It would not be too hard at all for them to nail her to a wall, they've been working on her for YEARS and she will be an easy target. She might win in the minorities, but if the pukes get a bunch of God-Fearin' Fundies to the polls, it won't matter.

13. In all fairness they will smear anyone
If it was based on whether their was something in their background, Bush would have been in hot water, not Kerry.

15. I agree - they will try and 'reframe' and 'rebrand' anyone. That is why
the Clintons may be such a tricky tool for the Democrats: they already have a million hours of brand and I mean what is Rove going to find in her past they can 'spin': they already spent $75,000,000.00 on trying to dig up Whitewater dirt and couldn't find anything.

Prediction: Romney/Condi

20. So the Clinton people would have you believe.
These voters that you are moving into the Hillary column will be more than offset by the end of ABB, and the distrust of Hillary.

Now I don't doubt that she will be the nominee...she will have all the money, airtime, and endorsements that are to be had for the primary. I also know that her advisors believe that they can find a slim chance of making her run into a win. But even they know that this chance is ever so slim. IOW, they are willing to risk it all. Insiders talk and grassrooters walk. Hillary maybe the choice of the the wheelers and dealers who run the best democracy money can buy, but what is good for the people?

19. White surburban women
already vote for Dems in large numbers; the ones who currently don't, won't.

There are many conservative although pro-choice women in those suburbs. My sister is but one example. She voted for Kerry because she cannot stand bush. There are no circumstances that will ever bring her to vote for Hillary. She is a pro-choice lawyer who votes republican every time.

Do you think that the republicans would hesitate to put a woman on their ticket? You see, they want to win.

otherwise they win, big time.
