Why is the Democracy Now picture always fuzzy?

It always looks like the 1980's cult figure tapes they show on cable.

1. What station do you watch it on?

We get Democracy Now on two stations, Link TV and Free Speech TV. The Link TV picture is good, while the Free Speech TV picture looks fuzzy and washed out. I haven't noticed this on other FSTV programs.

3. My local community access cable station airs Democracy Now

I always assumed they had a very low production budget and that's why it looks the way it does. They don't have slick graphics like FOX 'news'.

2. Low bandwidth, and an image thing

I'm sure that the major reason is that they have to limit their bandwidth in order to get it to enough people.
