George W Bush 1998 Drunk Video
How come the networks played the Dean Scream over and over again, but yet when a video of Bush drunk at a 1998 wedding was posted on the internet nobody mentioned it. Didn't he say he had given up drinking years ago? I say send this to every media outlet, if that was a leading democrat who said they had given up drinking, they would be branded a lier and a drunk.

5. I find it amazing
That this has never aired before, here is the president back in 1998 drunk, yet he claimed he had stopped drinking, but not one network or cbel station aired this, noone even reported it. Makes me wonder what other videos are out there of him.

I have already emailed CNN why they gave so much coverage to the Dean Scream and nothing to this. I guess I wont get a reply.

8. The Dean scream video was the product of editing. All the

background noise and context was taken out. There was an article on it in the Tallahassee Democrat a few days ago. I posted the link repeatedly but it never got any attention. Might still be there, I think title was "Dean Scream a Media Fraud."

14. It didn't get any attention because
most of us already knew about the circumstances of the Scream (within 48 hours). There's still some flat-Earthers, though.

22. Well, a lot of people didn't, myself included. The article didn't
begin "for all of you who think the earth is flat..." With all the lying that's going on in this country I'd think folks have better things to do than act superior because one didn't get past them.

24. Just trying to explain.
Nuthin' about being superior, a lot of people invested a lot of emotion in Dean's campaign and were tuned into every nuance. The more people that are aware of how the media can assassinate someone's character the better. The flat-earther comment was referencing some of Dean's detractors who claim that they knew he lost the nomination that day when they saw it live. He actually lost the nomination the next day when the re-mix hit the airwaves, ad nauseum. So, by all means, spread the word.

Peace. :hippie:

25. Sorry. I am not in the best of moods about DU tonight. Made
the mistake of questioning some al Jazerra propaganda in another thread and then going to bed last night. The mistake was not in questioning the article which was largely b.s., it was in going to bed afterwards so I could get up for work. Still trying to recover from the flames.

A lot of people still get all their news from the MSM. Somehow a DVD needs to be made of all the video out on the Internet that takes so long to download. One that could be freely copied and handed out by volunteers. I know a guy who loves Bush, but is a recovering alcoholic with close to thirty years of sobriety, I would really like him to see that wedding video. I've never seen the Dean video in context to this day, lots of folks have never seen the Bush wire from the debates, etc. Michael Moore should do another movie, even if it is only a half hour or forty-five minutes long. Voting stuff from Ohio, etc. I'd be happy to pay to see some Bush bashing that wasn't in a little box on the screen of my PC.

Life in Bushworld just sucks, doesn't it?

16. I tried posting this before. It zeroed out on me. Anyway, there is
this Repub in my office that for some reason likes Dean. She came to me after she read the Tall Dem and said did I know the circumstances. Of course, I did. You had posted.

I wondered aloud how all the cable news and network news happened to get the same doctored footage.

Suddenly, I saw the synapses jump and connect. She hasn't talked about it since, but she knows.

Sad when people are either a) in denial or b)just so clueless they won't believe it. I wish someone would be brave and play these video's. And I thought Bush claimed to have stopped drinking in his forties? He wasn't forty in 1998 I don't believe and there he is drunk. This shows me, I think, that he still drinks and gets drunk. And in his governor days was when he started appealing to the Christian base. So if he's going to pretend to be a Christian at least act like it in public. Of course he wasn't counting on that camera being on. Bush is always and always will be a rich spoiled brat. Did he mention Mike Wead or was that someone else?

6. It wouldn't matter................
they'd never air it because "the leader" was appointed by god. That and they wouldn't want to piss KKKarl off. He probably has photos of them in compromising positions. Nothing bad can be aired about "the leader". Ever.

7. what about emailing the link to the media
There used to be a national media list here, it can still be found on a search thru google, if everybody emailed the link to the media outlets someone would have to show it, what about Jon Stewart or Keith Olderman. They are probably our only hope.

This is SO scary. He was obviously feeling no pain, yet his speech had normal rate and flow and thought content seemed intact. WTF is wrong with him now?

23. funny, isn't it -- I had the impression that someone's "normal" accent ...
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 06:36 PM by Lisa
... comes out in situations where they've let their guard down (emotional, tired, or tipsy). At least, that's what I've learned when watching my friends and co-workers! (There's one guy in my workplace who affects a posh British accent, but it's an in-joke around here that when he's had too many drinks at the office Christmas party he sounds like the suburban Toronto native he really is!)

Makes sense that ** couldn't keep up his manufactured "cowboy" mannerisms after a touch of the grape (short attention span and all that). But I wonder why he'd be faking laziness and early dementia -- unless he's taking that "I like being misunderestimated" thing a bit too far.
