1. I just don't get why this is an issue for Congress.

It strikes me as just another opportunity for politicians to boldly procliam... "I'm in favor of apple pie!"

2. That's exactly why it's an issue for Congress
Still, just the same, I trust Waxman.

3. He may be going after what Bush
knew and tolerated when he was an owner.

6. Jesus...
Don't tell me we're going to say that Waxman has some plan to get Bush now! This reminds me of those who thought there was some grand plan on Kerry's part in the months after the election to make things right in Ohio and Florida. This is a political ploy and certainly not aimed at going after Bush in light of the fact that they can get him for Iraq and so much more.

5. Agreed:
Waxman rocks at a high level, but this is an unimportant issue. In fact, why not just let baseball (if not other sports) completely open up steroid use, so that all players have easy access to the crap. Who cares.

4. Who the hell cares?
I know we have to pick and choose our battles, but when the control is going to hell in a hand basket, why the hell are our Representatives concerned about steroids? I really like and respect Henry Waxman, but there are issues that are far more pressing than sports and steroids. We're in an illegal and unjust war in which our young men and women are dying, and we're worried about what? Fucking steroids and there organizations in place to handle this in sports... To make it worse, our country is gearing up to attack Iran or Syria and we're fucking worried about steroids? Give me a frickin' break Waxman and McCain!
