reserves? I never heard any mention of this - but given their location in the world - it seems like it might be possible.

1. No oil.
There was oil in the Sinai - but that was given back to Egypt.

Some geologists have reported natural gas, and there are some gas wells.

Location is important in the sense of which side of a tectonic plate. The oil is on the "other side" of the relevant plate (Eastern side of the Arabian Peninsula).

Based on Geology 101, one would "expect" some oil in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aqaba, and even the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. But by week three of Geology 101, you learn the oil is in/under the Persian Gulf.

2. Nope
Moses roamed around for 40 years in the desert and he picked the one spot that didn't have any oil. LOL. So much for the promised land.

3. No water, no oil. It's a big part of the reason for their aggression

5. Water is their main problem and the Palestinian used to control most of it
Does this make the picture any clearer?
