Sounds like some kind of political blacklisting is going on. They must be scared of allowing a liberal or even moderate view point on there. Where are the lawyers who will start taking discrimination issue up. I wish I knew a few of them. If you know one or 2, you should ask them for advice and take this BBS to task for their reasons why.

because of the word "fart" in your username. If you signed up with "All4Jesus" or something similar, you would have been quickly approved. There are people in the church who think that "gee whiz" is a swear word, so "fart" would be beyond the pale and well on the way to the f-bomb in their minds.

Once they have the masses worshiping in a cultist fashion, they are easily lead to vote how ever they are being trained to, or take other political actions accordingly.

My mother in law is fundie-lite and receives all of those e-mails & petitions to "save" religion & then forwards them to my hubbie.

I signed up for a news letter from one of those wing nut sites so that I could stay abreast of what they're up to, but I never received one. I think maybe they check political party affiliation when you sign up. If you are a registered Dem that could be why you were rejected.

Perhaps it was the handle you chose. I know this is probably unbelievable for some folks, but a handle that used the word "fart" probably isn't the sort of poster a lot of bulletin boards would want on their regular postings. And a bulletin board that caters to a lot of Ned Flanders types is wholly within their rights to listen to some of the more experienced posters at their site, who might find the word objectionable.

Try registering with another handle that doesn't include the word "fart." Sheesh. Some people sure go out of their way to be offended!
