Boston Herald endorses Kerry
Heard the Globe is supposed to endorse tomorrow. About damn time!

"If we have learned anything since the 2000 presidential election it is that in a dangerous and uncertain world there is no substitute for a steady hand at the nation's helm, guided by a lifetime of experience.

And that, at the end of the day, is what Sen. John Kerry has to offer the Democratic Party as its nominee for president - a 35-year record of service to his nation and to this state.

It is something the people of Iowa began to sense as Kerry - finally - hit his stride as a candidate in the weeks before the caucuses.
Those of us in Massachusetts who know him best, have never doubted that Kerry is as capable a political leader as any who have sat in the U.S. Senate. His character was formed in part in the caldron that was Vietnam." ~snip

"But John Kerry as a solid, thoughtful political leader is a well-known commodity around these parts. It is that man, that leader, the Boston Herald is pleased to endorse for his party's presidential nomination."

7. The HERALD?
That isn't good news, it's a kiss of death! The Herald is a right wing paper, one that talks down to the working man, a real scream if you're reading it stoned.

Don't worry, though. They'll get around to endorsing the Chimp after the convention anoints him.

6. Hmmph. The Herald has always been a conservative paper.

I haven't 'read' it for years (not that I ever really read it), but I'm assuming it's still a lot further to the right than the Globe. I'm quite curious about this endorsement.

Edited to add: I wonder if they're trying to stick it to the Globe in some way--I wouldn't put anything past them.

13. It's his hometown
A month ago he was getting smacked around because he couldn't even get his hometown newspapers to endorse him. Now he's smacked around because they did. Too funny.

15. Sands....
I'm pretty new here, but I've "lurked" a lot longer than I have been posting.

When the chip were down for your guy, you've stood up to the barrage and kept the faith.

It's your moment to shine. You should be proud, damn proud.

16. Proud of our vets
The Veterans Brigade. They are amazing. Just the most amazing, giving, selfless, caring human beings. They did it. I think they may even have had alot to do with lifting him up, and smacking him down when he needed it. It was a cool thing to watch. And they're rolling into New Hampshire and then they're going to roll across the country and roll George Bush right out of the White House! I love those guys.
