Bush Seeks `Common Voice' With Europe on Middle East (Update1)

Feb. 19 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush, who travels to Brussels tomorrow in a bid to improve relations with allies, said the U.S. and Europe need to speak with ``a common voice'' to promote peace and democracy in the Middle East.

Bush said he would have ``frank'' words for Russian President Vladimir Putin when the two meet in Bratislava, Slovakia, Feb. 24 at the end of Bush's four-day European trip, which will include talks with French President Jacques Chirac, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.

Putin's statement yesterday that Russia will assist Iran's development of nuclear technology and continue military sales adds tension to the Bush-Putin meeting, said James Goldgeier, director of the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at George Washington University.

``The timing of this, coming just before the summit, is provocative,'' Goldgeier said. Putin ``knows he is going to get beaten up over a few things in Bratislava, and one way to interpret this is that he is sending a signal that he is in charge, in control of his own affairs.''

2. But.....but......bush looked into his eyes and saw his soul!
They were SO simpatico before, what happened?

Putin finally figured out what the rest of the world's leaders know. bush is an empty cowboy hat that loves to push people around.

Something tells me he's not going to bully "pootie-poot".

bush might as well stay home and talk to laura. At least she seems to respect him. None of the world leaders he's going to meet with give a crap about him. They've all seemed to join together in a mutual distrust society when it comes to bush.

4. to threaten him-ha ha ha--will not work-then try a bribe-won't work either
Then he can try "looking into his eyes"
Pooty will just know that he's met his match and will just bow down,
then he'll involuntarily drop to his knees,

and then he'll unzip Chimp's pants!!

and then....

So Chimp wishes !!! --
ha -
what a joke !-

Russia isn't shocked,
isn't awed by the U.S.,
and won't sit back while
the U.S. takes control
of ALL the oil in the Middle East.

even if Chimp sent Condo Lizard the Queen Reptilian to scare him with her bobble head it wouldn't work-
Russia is on the "other" side in the next World War-
teamed with China--
Who wins? our Commander in Chimp?(with his imaginary degree in Strategy from West Point)?
not likely

5. Bush, with his customary arrogance and used to thinking he is the
center of the known universe, has probably completely missed what Putin has been doing in the past few months.More importantly, he has also missed what the EU has been doing in the past few months. Those actions taken by both are sending signals even to my untrained eyes, that they are protecting their independence and their ability to act in the event Bush goes crazy again in Iran and elsewhere:

Some examples:

1. Russia test fires a hypersonic cruise missile able to reach our shores within one hour, launched from ships or planes, and capable of releasing MIRVs carrying nuclear weapons.Putin declares that no other nation has these types of missiles and these cannot be protected against because they will come under the radar.

2. Putin and Hu Jintao sign an agreement to conduct joint military exercises between Russia and China and cooperative agreements to share weapons technology.

3. Putin announces the formation of BRIC ( Brazil, Russia, India and China) as an economic alliance. He also promptly invites India and Brazil to join the military alliance he has formed with China.

4.The European Union announces a joint venture between India's Premier Defense oriented Corporation Bharat Dynamics and BAe Europe's premier Defense related corporation on the production of new weapons systems. India's software expertise is expected to play a major role in this coperative venture.

Bush is now reaping a whirlwind with his ignorant March of Folly in Iraq. This will assume gale force velocity in the months and years ahead. Economically, he has already made us a basket case dependent on the "kindness of strangers"( to borrow a phrase from my favorite American author, Tennessee Williams). He has already alienated many of our friends and allies who are taking baby steps toward a more sane world order independent of the insanity enveloping our own politics.

There is not enough oil or wealth or weapons in the world to protect us from the insanity of our own rulers.
