Bob Kerrey about 9/11 Commission silence during election...
He said something to the effect that the commission knew that the Bush administration had been negligent and was to blame for 9/11, but he -- get this! -- promised to keep quiet about this fact until after the election... I wanted to have the cocksucker put on trial for treason when I watched him say that! (I'll look for a link...)

Here's an excerpt from the Novemeber 8, 2004 Paula Zahn show:

ZAHN: But what we continue to hear from this administration is that the threat was much too diffuse. There was no way you could zero in on the fact that al Qaeda was going to use jets as bombs and ram them into buildings.

KERREY: That is a straw man.

The president says, if I had only known that 19 Islamic men would come into the United States of America and on the morning of 11 September hijack four American aircraft, fly two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one into an unknown Pennsylvania that crashed in Shanksville, I would have moved heaven and earth. That's what he said.

Mr. President, you don't need to know that. This is an Islamic jihadist movement that has been organized since the early 1990s, declared war on the United States twice, in '96 and '98. You knew they were in the United States. You were warned by the CIA. You knew in July they were inside the United States. You were told again by briefing officers in August that it was a dire threat.

And what did you do? Nothing, so far as we could see on the 9/11 Commission. Now, that's in the report. And we took an oath not to talk about it during the campaign, I think correctly so, to increase the capacity of that commission's report to be heard by the people's Congress.

But the report, I think, it's difficult for a challenger. If I had been the challenger, it's difficult to make that case when you are running against an incumbent. He can stand back and say, oh, you're just grousing.

ZAHN: Oh, we couldn't connect the dots is what we heard.

1. But the report says it and has said it since before the election
The members just couldn't talk about it.
The problem, again, is the media's failure to report on things that are directly in front of their well-done-up faces.

2. Of course, first they'd have to actually READ the thing
I wonder if anyone in the media actually READ the thing.

4. What About the 52 Warnings Between Apr & Sept '01.....
I'm not hearing anything about this story. It seems to me this should be the biggest story since 911 and it appears to have vaporized. What are the 911 families saying? Why wasn't this topic brought up on last Sunday's news programs? The rank and file American - hasn't even picked up on this story.

And the Commission taking an oath - an oath!!! To not tell the American people that their government was negligent in this whole affair. Don't we have a right to know? Isn't this what the Commission was all about? What is going on?

And Oh - why isn't Novak in jail yet?

6. Didn't you hear? Michael Jackson was admitted to the hospital....
The media only tell us what they want us to know.

Reading the report apparently shows evidence of negligence. And "negligence" is the gentlest word possible. But the results were summarized as "too many dots to connect" & the matter was dropped.

11. The only place I heard about it
was on Joe Scaborough that first day. Since then I haven't really heard much. But then again I haven't watched the show in the past few days so I can't really say. Only news I watch is Jon Stewart and CSPAN.

8. I agree.
I'm much more upset at those like Kerrey and BenVeniste, who knew what was going on and did little to nothing, than I am at the faceless sheeple who can't tell their heads from their asses.

12. Of course with BCCI
Since they funded the BinLadin family and the Bush family. Go figure. :eyes: Thank God Kerry took them down. I wish he could do something about the Bush administration. But I know he's powerless now.

13. I guess they were threatned or something
I was watching the democratic politicians last night on CSPAN have their Iraq meeting thing and I noticed one of the main people who spoke and a lawyer were talking about whistelblowers and how they were supposed to be there but they backed down because they were so afraid for their lives and had been threatned. :\ It's so awful how the truth on issues stay silent because of threats.

14. I remember hearing the chairman & vice chairman say something
when they first issued the report, that there was additional information that the whole commission had agreed to hold back as a condition of being able to release anything at all. Had something to do with the security clearance they had to get from the WH, and even then they redacted a lot of the info. Remember the black lines regarding the Saudi connection?

I conplained to my Senator and Rep at the time, insisting that the whole report be released, but the response from both of them simply answered a question that I never asked! They're all GREAT at hiding stuff that way.

17. How do these people sleep at night?
that's what I'd like to know. They didn't want to say anything because it would appear "partisan" before an election? Did anyone of these nitwits watch the RNC Convention (better know as the "9/11 Convention" because they couldn't get thru 5 minutes of it, without mentioning 9/11) tell me, that wasn't partisan? exploiting? How could anyone remain silent watching that and not speak up? Disgraceful.

BenVeniste did get Condi Rice to name the August 2001 PDB "Bin Laden determined to attack in the United States" at the 9/11 hearings. But thats it. All of the democrats on that commission could have done so much more. But as always..they didn't want to look "partisan". 3,000 dead & they were worried about appearances.

Bob Kerrey was once interested in running for president, that was cut short early in AWOL bush's administration, when rumors ( I wonder from who)started to fly about Kerrey's involvement in possible atrocities in Vietnam (wonder if the Swift Boaters were in on that one). He quickly became damaged goods.

Kerrey now presides as President of the New School in Manhattan, NY. Ironic, since his silence has made him a traitor to the people of this city who died on 9/11. Kerrey is not a native New Yorker & he's one whore I wish would go back to whatever state or rock he crawled out from under.
