To rabid Dean "supporters" / candidate cannibals - STOP

I came back to this forum today, after leaving in disgust at the repetitive bashes labelling Wes Clark "a mass murderer", "serial liar", "Repug operative." Within minutes I was greeted by the following:

In a positive thread pointing out the swing states crucial to a Dem. victory, and why Clark could carry alot of them, the first response and subsequent thread hijacking (by a Dean "supporter") immediately attacked Clark with "You've never been elected to so much as dogcatcher of Arkansas your entire life". He then stated that especially seniors would not vote for a man with no history of elected office. I calmly stated that my 91 year old lifelong Republican mother had said she would vote for Clark if nominated. The Dean supporter's message title reply was:

"She's probably senile, and may die before the election."

When offended parties remarked on his twisted slam, he quickly changed the message title to "Yay for being 91!"

At one time I was wavering between Dean and Clark, but once I saw the unending venom & vitriol spewed by this sort of hardcore "Nobody but Dean" maniac, I knew who I couldn't support. Do you Dean people realize the incredible negative impact of more than a few loose cannons in your camp? They are recruiting support for anyone but Dean, just as surely as slapping people like me right in the face. I'm as thick-skinned as anyone, but calling my sharp-as-a-tack 91 year old mother "SENILE" and suggesting that she's ABOUT TO DIE is way out of bounds. Where does this sickness and hatred come from - I'd really like to know?

but I want to publicly apologize for that DUers behavior.

Your grandmother saw the 19th amendment passed and became a voter as a result of it. She knows the honor of attaining the vote. I am sure she carries with her great wisdom, and I am sorry that aome arrogant jerk tried to minimalize that through an ill-conceived insult.

Hugs to you and to her. We don't ever need to assume that we are smarter than the old folks who have seen the making of history in their time. Anyone who considers posting such venomous bombast in the future should check themselves.
