February 11, 2005 -- ALBANY — Red-faced state GOP officials admitted yesterday they had hired another personal assistant for Gov. Pataki's wife — four years earlier than a previously disclosed maid.

Janine Robinson had served as Libby Pataki's personal assistant from late 1995 or early 1996 through mid-1999 — when Michelle Stubbs took over the job, The Associated Press reported.

Robinson was paid about $36,000 a year to perform secretarial duties and arrange Libby Pataki's political schedule, said Ryan Moses, executive director of the state Republican Committee.

A source told The Post last night that Robinson was Libby's "personal driver and personal aide." <snip>
