A connection to Snotty McClellan by "Gannon"?
Gannon: "Thank you. First of all, I hope the grand jury didn't force you to turn over the wedding card I sent to you and your wife. (Laughter.) "
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&contentId=A45953-2004Mar10¬Found=true

Here they seem to be having a har har about being asked about the Plame case -- he is being very bold in bringing it up in public thusly with Scotty, n'est ce pas?

Does this reveal a personal connection between these two men, or is Gannon, who is clearly unstable and WAY out of his depth, just getting too darned familiar with Scotty?

(He went on to make the following propagandist remark: "Do you see any hypocrisy in the controversy about the President's mention of 9/11 in his ads, when Democratic icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt's campaign issued this button, that says, 'Remember Pearl Harbor'? I have a visual aid for folks watching at home." )

2. AND THE SAD thing
...is that the lamestream media sat in that room, heard the shit coming out of this guy's mouth for OVER A YEAR, and no one said "WHO THE FUCK is that ASSHOLE??" It's like NONE of them have ENQUIRING MINDS, none of them want to KNOW!!!

And if this guy was getting his daypasses, he wasn't just at the pressers, he was also at the gaggles which are way more informal and totally off the record. Someone HAD to get a sense of this clown during this time. Why did it take guys sitting at computers to do the work that the lamestreamers, who had way better access to this guy, saw him regularly, and should have realized something was amiss, should have done?

It's like they've all been castrated, they are all AFRAID...either that, or STUPID.

3. He stood out, to say the least
Imagine being able to make "Ann Coulter" style remarks at a WH press conference! Talk about a dream job for a wacko!

A web site collected a bunch of video clips of him, showing him do his thing, and in which he is pretty obnoxious -- and you can hear people sniggering or gasping in exasperation.

WH journalists ask questions, occasionally probing ones, of His Chimperial Majesty and his boy Scotty. If they sound "critical" -- well, I think you have to be a paranoid wingnut to think so. "Gannon" wore their disgust with his lack of professionalism -- and yes, this is exactly what it is, NOT the "fact" he was a "conservative" (I bet George WIll could go in there and ask a question that didn't have everyone rolling their eyes) as a badge of honor -- yes, he is that deranged.

Our WH press corp might be lame lap dogs, but I don't think they are 100% numb. I think they had to have wondered who he was, and knew he worked at a faux news outlet, but had to suffer him in silence.

I think it would be amusing to get a few martinis into Terry Moran or John Roberts and hear what they had to say about Mr "Gannon."

4. Actually, some of them did confront him
I've already forgotten where I read this, but someone in the WH press pool said people had confronted him and told him he didn't belong there. I don't know if they ever took it up with McLellan.

5. Those who confronted him, should be digging on this story now
There is much more dirt here. This old newshoud can sniff it. Will any or many of the WH correspondents have the guts and the clout finally to tell the full story?

Frankly, at this point i have no confidence in so called professional journalism. If their are any big time reporters with integrity, they are going to have to prove it to me -- and to the American public.
