Tell President Bush to Stop His Attack on America's Priorities
President Bush recently submitted his budget for fiscal year 2006 to Congress. If passed, it would devastate families around the country by cutting programs like Medicaid, veterans' benefits, college loans, education programs, farm subsidies, and community development grants, all while doing nothing to alleviate the record-breaking federal deficit.
Sign the petition below and tell President Bush that his budget is unrealistic and irresponsible. Tell him to start over and that this time he should put America's priorities first.

Your 2006 budget is a disaster. Your cuts to Medicaid, veterans' benefits, college loans, education programs, farm subsidies, community development grants, and more will devastate families across America.
Despite cutting programs that help those who need help the most, your budget doesn't alleviate the record-breaking federal deficit. When you add in the costs of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (which aren't in your budget) and eliminate other unrealistic assumptions, there's no reduction in the deficit at all.
It's time for you to start over. Your budget to Congress should be realistic, reflect America's priorities, and make a serious effort to reduce the budget disaster you created.
