Prediction: Edwards WILL win the Primary if he finishes 3rd+ in NH
There's no way a Southerner that populer in the NE or Mid-west can lose.

1. He is an inexperienced trial lawyer....

and that's the chant from the media we'd hear for months.

Edwards will make a great VP... but he lacks the experience to be president.

8. Yes but the media will find something
The media will chant *something* about each of the candidates.

The incumbent Republican that Edwards beat for his Senate seat was as nasty as they come and he tried the "trial lawyer" bit and Edwards beat him to a pulp with it.

Edwards is ready for that criticism. He has the families that he has helped waiting in the wings ready to talk about how he fought for their family against big corporations and big hospitals when their child was injured.

He turns it into a "I represented the little guy against corporations" thing.

He's probably just waiting for the media and/or Rove to start up with that "trial lawyer" bit.

10. He's a Senator...
which gives him about the same amount of experience as being the governor of Vermont

15. Sorry.
john Edwards is a very successful trial lawyer with much experience.

He is also emotionally mature, not prone to bellowing tantrums like other politicians.
i am watching him,he might be the nominee. He could get my vote.

4. Likely Clark...
Dean will win NH easily, and with Kerry's bounce, I can't see him not finishing 2nd.

13. Many voters are concerned that Howard Dean....
will be too polarizing. That's why they switched to John Kerry. The Democrats are being pragmatic and want to win this Fall!

6. Edwards is the second choice for the people in MS
Oddly Dean is doing very well here, Kerry won't happen in the south.

9. I agree...
The South is suffering a lot under Bush.

If Dukakis was such a wimp in dealing with Bush I, why would they want someone else from MA so soon?

Fool me once...

(Nothing against Kerry or Dukakis on this: But perception matters.)

18. Clark is going to drop dramatically over the next week
Especially after the debate tomorrow, he will start to go down.

Edwards will have a great shot at 2nd or 3rd. The only way that Dean will win NH is if Republican leaning Independents vote for him in order to try and give him the win because the GOP wants him.

14. Clark and Edwards...
I support Dean but as long as Clark and Edwards do well in NH I feel like they are going to take over in the south and midwest...

16. Edwards has surprised me.
I said he didn't have enough experience and I am still concerned by that. One term in the Senate just doesn't seem like much. But, he is personable, funny, charming, has great policies...being a Southerner is a good thing too. :O)
