MSNBC Anchor: "You ever seen anything like this"
When interviewing a guy from the Wall Street Journal about all of these pro SS privatization groups that are going to run ads trying to get people to support Bush's scheme.

Why didn't that idiot say "you ever seen anything like this" with just as big of a smile on her face in reference to the groups who are against SS privatization who were denied the right to run their ads on NBC affiliates?

These two-faced idiots make me sick!

Your company denies one group the right to air their ads that are against it, and then you come on television and pump up the people who are running ads in favor of it?

I am sick and tired of this crap.

7. yes, i am kind of suprised
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 06:10 PM by SheepyMcSheepster
how can it be justified?
i mean, usually there has to be some kind "argument" one would make saying that there is some reason for denying the ads, i am wondering what the "reason" could possible be?

5. Got the issues mixed up.
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 06:09 PM by independentchristian
My bad, it was "TORT REFORM". So many issues, I got'em mixed up.

Oh well, be on the lookout for this.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/01/national/01ads.html?oref=login&oref=login&adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1107271257-tKqx5Kx6t7sXQ1lWPlMrSQ

Same issue though. They are denying a group the right to run ads AGAINST BUSH on tort reform, but they were pumping up people who want to run ads in support of SS privatization.

It's still hypocrisy.

4. We need to PROTEST loudly and in the streets against the MEDIA as
well as the administration. This is totally ridiculous. There ought to be a law against the media doing this but thanks to de-regulation by the Republicans they can get away with it! We must take our message to the streets!! Even if it means marching in small towns across America.

15. And then the local communities have to pick up the tab for extra security
and traffic control. Most communities can't even afford the basic emergency services their own tax payers need!

All communities visited by Dimson and Chicken Hawk Dick should demand an up front deposit to defray costs associated with police manpower for such visits. If their needs are not met, they should not provide so much as a traffic cone to deflect traffic. Let the SS run around and keep the thief-in-chief and green parka boy safe without any help/expense from the locals. Only the select few get to attend their photo ops anyway. Let them pay for their own damned security.

Maybe security and keeping protesters hidden wouldn't be such an expensive issue if they stop pissing people off.

12. I'm beginning to think that all this SS "Reform" Hard Sell is a "WMD"
"Weapon of Mass Distraction"

Anyone else think that maybe this all a bunch of BS to get Democrats all worked up and working to defeat it, when even most of the Senate, is saying it has got about a Snow Balls chance in Hell of passing?

Then they go and slip a bunch of really bad stuff past most Americans.

Or maybe it's just a "hard sell opening bid?" You know, ask for $1,000,000.00, even though you know it's worth $250,000.00, in hopes that the other party will offer LOW (say $200,000.00), so when you settle for less, everyone thinks they got a good deal?

17. I bought a new refrigerator a couple of weeks ago, I told the dude
selling them, "Show me anything but a GE product." Ended up with a Whirlpool. Last I heard they will still trying to make them in Michigan, but they may have closed down their last plant. Not sure. In any event, at least Whirlpool is not into making nukes and war profiteering.
