3. They denied knowledge that secret servicemen were arresting
protesters during the campaign. "Gee, we don't really know whose neck we're standing on...Didn't even know we were standing on someone's neck..."

8. Oh, it was all a misunderstanding
Some unidentified overzealous volunteer, doncha know. Really just a misunderstanding. Nothing to it, really. Mr. Bush is eager to meet with all sorts of folks to discuss the future of social security. Well-l-l-l no . . . the President can't come back to Fargo for another meeting, but if you'd care to send a letter to the White House regarding your views on social security, we can guarantee that your letter will be read by a government official and placed in a secure metal container.

9. I heard this yesterday on AAR

A fellow DUer & his wife made the list, he posted in LBN. From reading his post it sounds like they are investigating & compiling info about progressives who speak out.

We shouldn't let this story die down or go away, it is too important.

on edit: spelling

10. Comments from freeps on SPtimes forum
Of course, this is just fine with them...

quote:from the link:
Also on the list was James Holm, the producer of "The Ed Schultz Show," .... Holm, a staunch Democrat, said he felt honored.

Which is the proper way to react. Good for Mr. Holm.

This country needs more people who look at things from a broader perspective instead of immediately going into Default Mode and pitching a whiny partisan hissyfit about everything under the sun.

Holm should run for public office, but I suspect the pay isn't as good as producing radio programs, and he's obviously far too level-headed & smart to be a politician anyway.

...

I highly doubt anyone on that list "wanted to see the President." They may have wanted to go to the speech so they could attempt to turn it into a rag fest and see themselves on local TV news making a big stink, but that's not the same thing.

This is politics, and it's not beyond the scope of common sense that a politidroid might look to ban his/her most vocal adversaries from a limited-seating speech. In fact that's just good politicking, whether you agree with it or not or whether Dubya & Co ever actually admits they're doing it or not.

...

GWB can regulate the crowd like Steve Rubell if he wants to. It is his right.

...

Isn't this better than launching an IRS audit on your enemies, cheaper, too.
