1. Women and children most impacted by Social security,
These women are great.

They give me hope. Leave it to the women...I need to have some faith and they are up at bat.

Hillary up soon--as soon as she breaks away from the prayer breakfast.

I guess Lieberman making lovey-dovey is more popular this morning.

11. Did you notice he reassured people over 55
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 10:22 AM by CWebster
That they had "nothing to worry about"...Something to worry about...

Does that mean that everyone under 55 does have something to "worry" about?

There is so much at stake-especially for women, children, minorities, soldiers, seniors, working people, college kids....hmm, everyone except that have-more Bush base.

5. I loved that she used Bush's words against him, "tell your neighbors
not to be misled, Social Security is not on the verge of collapse" talking to the millions of C-SPAN viewers.

6. This administration is pitting the young against the old.
It's their MO in every policy, split the people, pit them against each other so there is no chance everyone will unite and fight back.

Rulers have done it since the beginning of time.

13. I agree
It's sad too. We're supposed to help take care of our elderly. :( The Bible teaches us that too, I guess W fell asleep in that. :eyes: Ugh. And what's sad is people my age and in the middle appear, to me anyways, to be so greedy. "It's my money and I can do with it better then the government." :grr:

19. This administration has no respect for the elderly
Edited on Thu Feb-03-05 10:39 AM by FrustratedDemInNC
We are one of the few countries that ignore the older generation, it's heartbreaking. The policies of * continue to divide the country on every issue, we need to find a way to unite as people to fight back and save this country.

It is getting harder to do thanks to the overall atmosphere and corporate owned media.
