I believe, if I remember correctly from David Brock's book, "Blinded by the Right," Annie essentially received her paycheck from foundations/think-tanks backed by Scaife and "the Four Sisters" foundations (e.g. Scaife-, Coors-backed).

So, in my humble opinion, there's getting paid by the Bushies directly, or through the government, and/or through a party that backs both the pundit and the Bushies. The connections are still there. What is the real difference in terms of whoredom?
