Play Hardball with the Republicans for this stupid idea!

Make a big deal of the fact Republicans want to pass a law that violates the Civil Rights Act.

U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title 6, Sec. 601:

TITLE VI--NONDISCRIMINATION IN FEDERALLY ASSISTED PROGRAMS

SEC. 601. No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, OR BE SUBJECTED TO DISCRIMINATION UNDER ANY PROGRAM OR ACTIVITY RECEIVING FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

Republicans should wish this idea never even came up, we should beat this drum until we are all deaf.

2. i thought the primary means of discrimination they wanted to use was
gender. doesn't matter...

i guess this explains that weird moment bushitler had with the black guy at the town hall meeting on Social security where he was trying to say SS was unfair to blacks b/c black people die young.

3. Primarily Gender, but also race...
It's hard to imagine that a Federal Program could discriminate against women on the sole basis that they are women.

Also, if they made women wait for SS benefits based on life expectancy, then they run into the racial issue, since women of color have shorter life expectancy --so arguably, the most discriminated against in our society, women of color, would not be able to collect Social Security as soon as, for instance, white males.

Yes, the Republican Party is standing up for the white male, just as we knew it would --although it's mostly standing up for wealthy ones.
