"He's plain spoken, he's simple"
Kay Bailey Hutchison on that ass-kissing Tweety Hardball debacle.

By she's got THAT right.

He is indeed simple.

2. That translates
to babbling idiot as far as I'm concerned.

We live in complex time. We do not need someone with a simplistic view of the world running the show. Especially one who can complete a sentence that makes any sense.

7. That's for sure
and I'm not convinced that our Chimp-in-Chief is stupid - at least in the typical sense of the word. It's certainly true that when he speaks, he can't form a coherent sentence (it's almost funny watching him forget what he said at the beginning of a sentence by the time he gets to the end of it), but I've always thought this might be a result of the brain damage he clearly suffered after so many years as a dope fiend.

The real problem is his intellectual laziness. He obviously doesn't like to think, and is hostile to any ideas or concepts that don't support what he already believes. His loyal minions are exactly the same. While not classically stupid, they're not interested in critical thinking, or considering any ideas that don't support what they already believe. Like the Chimp, they lack the sort of judgment and common sense that most people consider important personal qualities - at least in adults.

Sadly, we all lose because of it.

4. The problem is, this sells to so many simpletons.
I know this is pessimistic, but sometimes I feel we are indeed doomed. :(
