So, it's not that Chimp actually expresses regret,
Big headline: Bush Admits Misgivings About Famed Phrases

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) expressed misgivings Thursday for two of his most famous expressions: "Bring 'em on," in reference to Iraqis attacking U.S. troops, and his vow to get Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) "dead or alive."

During a round-table interview with reporters from 14 newspapers, Bush acknowledged that his tough language "had an unintended consequence."

You might think he's actually expressing regret, feeling remorse, maybe an apology or at least an admission of error, but read on....

"I don't know if you'd call it a regret, but it certainly is a lesson that a president must be mindful of, that the words that you sometimes say. ... I speak plainly sometimes, but you've got to be mindful of the consequences of the words. So put that down. I don't know if you'd call that a confession, a regret, something."

Okay, so he didn't exactly admit misgivings, he just admitted "a lesson that a president must be mindful of, that the words that you sometimes say. ... I speak plainly sometimes, but you've got to be mindful of the consequences of the words."

And that deserved an article. :eyes:

1. No mistakes, ever. Except for every time he opens his mouth.

2. It's like someone who apologizes because it looks good to apologize
not because it is the right thing to do. He is saying, "I know it looked bad BUT....."

5. Just more arrogance
W is the only person I've ever known who said he's sure he's made a mistake but he can't think of one. His arrogance continues.
