Kerry to Al Azhar Grand Imam:Washington commited terrible mistakes in Iraq
http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/050113/2005011330.html

"Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif received on Wednesday John Kerry, the US Senator and former presidential hopeful.

In statement following the meeting, Kerry, currently visiting Egypt as part of his tour of the Middle East, said the meeting with Nazif dealt with Egyptian efforts in the fields of economy, trade and technology, as well as developments in the Middle East and Iraq.

For his part, Cabinet spokesman Magdi Radi said that Nazif reviewed with Kerry economic reforms which were being carried out by the Egyptian government.

During the meeting, Nazif highlighted the legitimate Palestinian rights and the US role in helping resume Palestinian- Israeli peace negotiations."

4. Shocked, shocked I tell you...
And yet, knowing what he does now, he still would have made the vote. Hmmmm. Playing both sides much?

5. I like this approach
Bush shattered the tradition of a bi-partisan foreign policy -- Kerry is smart to pick up the Dem half of the ball and run with it rather than either rolling over or whining as most Dems seem to be doing.

If the parallel track doesn't make the admin cry foul, he should just keep ratcheting it up until it does.

6. Agreed
The British press has a lot more interesting reports about how close Iraq is to full-out civil war. Iraqi political parties are pulling out of the elections. The Americans are admitting that maybe 4 provinces in Iraq won't have secure voting. (Only 4, but half the population of the country.) Iraq is a full blown disaster.

ALL Democrats need to unite to get a consistent message out that the bushies have screwed up royally. Plus, I think it will be fun to see Kerry re-emerge nationally the week that * get his little tin crown. Might be interesting. I hope Biden has good questions too, or at least better than the ones he asked at the Gonzales hearings last week.
