8. Is that the chapter that says
...always place people of minority or underrepresented sectors of American society in key positions. Ensure that they are total toadies, who would sell their souls, the souls of their families and their heritage to have a position close to the throne. Ensure, too, that they parrot the party line faithfully, and never allow any personal feelings of compassion or justice to enter into any decision making.

Then, if they are attacked for parroting the BushCo themes, immediately launch an outraged media blitz insisting that the real agenda of the criticism is racism, sexism, religious discrimination, or whatever. Count on people being afraid to be accused of this sort of socially repugnant behavior and because of this the story dies.

Can't believe they're proud of that one.

And civil rights lawyers as "ambulance chasers".

9. because they have no fundamental understanding of the term.
They think that if you say anything bad about a person of some ethnic makeup other than caucasion, they can divert attention from the criticism with this claim. Whether it from ignorance or whether it is on purpose I do not know.

11. Because deep down
They all believe that there was no big deal with torturing a bunch of Muslims. So why pick on the poor man that did what it took to show them a thing or two.

It's convenient, they have to yell something because they can't speak the truth about him.

that we oppose him on his torture positions.

That, or they are opportunistically trying to paint liberals as anti-Hispanic...which is very laughable...given that I'm Latino and I've always felt Republicans to be more anti-Hispanic than Democrats.

because if you say the reason for the opposition is racism then you don't have to acknowledge the fact that he isn't qualified and a bad candidate but you can smear the opposition into getting what you want.

17. It's their usual trick
The Democrats are known as the party that advocates the rights of minority groups. Therefore, the Republicanites think they're being oh, so clever when they nominate the most corrupt, right-wing woman/African-American/Latino/Asian-American/Native American/GLBT person they can find, someone who has an absolutely stinking record.

When the Dems object to this person on the basis of his/her stinkiness, the Republicanites turn around and say archly, "Oh, but we thought you liked minorities. I guess you like minorities only if they toe your liberal line." (Italicized words spoken with the sneer turned up a notch).

I've seen that tactic so many times (most notoriously with the nomination of Clarence Thomas) that I almost expect it.

21. The deal is
that Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Clarence Thomas don't suck because they're black, they suck because, well, they suck.

It's the same for Gonzales.

Mr. School-of-the-Americas-School-of-Law sucks. It's that simple.

25. The reasons we don't like Gonzalez have nothing to do with race
We liberals know unqualified candidates when we see them, irregardless of skin color. The Republicans always attempt to find ways to project the awful truths of their party (the Republicans are the real racists in my book) onto their opposition, and the sheeple seem to eat it up, because the Republicans are the party of "Christian morals" (yeah right).

The CEO of Kelloggs who is the nominee for Commerce Secretary. Is he not an ethnic minority? He is Cuban-born. I hear no complaints about this nomination. Why? Because he is a decent, intelligent human being, not a POS without a working brain cell.
