Am I the only one noticing How only Dems got interrupted and told
"times up?" yesterday at the joint session?
I counted no less than two times a dem started speaking and was told their time was up less than 30 seconds later.

I also noticed ONLY during a dem speech, as they were starting get momentum, they would be interrupted to chastise other members for being out of their seats, etc.

NEVER was a republican interrupted while speaking for making members be more orderly in the hall.

Did anyone else notice this?
vindictive bastards.

1. Yes, I noticed
However, some members may have voluntarily scheduled very short speeches to be able to "yield" time to another member to speak longer. I did notice the calls for quiet, and to take seats, etc., but maybe that was necessary.

2. To be honest, I do seem to remember a couple of Repugs
getting the "times up" command...I noticed because I was so GLAD to hear it and be able to STOP hearing their b.s...As for the other interruptions, I didn't notice one way or another

3. I didn't watch the debates live, but speakers are constatntly interrupted
It's just the nature of the process. I don't think one side get singled out.

4. Those short 30 second speeches were the result of other
Representitives yielding the balance of their time to a colleague.

Hastert, though, was right on the stopwatch. He allowed absolutely no extra time for Democrats to finish their thoughts. One time I thought he was going to do the gavel through the podium.

Poor Republicans, someone dropped a turd in their punchbowl yesterday. From the looks on Hastert's face, he didn't like the taste.
