"You will look back in 10-20 years and know that you were part of ..
something that was very important". Rummy to the troops overseas in Iraq.

For that to be true:

1.there is some sort of stability in Iraq
2.Iraq has it's own police and military
3.U.S. troops are still deployed in Iraq for security reasons ala Germany and Japan after WWII

What the reality will be:

1. Iraq is a series of civil wars with no stability in the region
2. U.S. troops are no longer a presence and there is no U.S. policy toward Iraq
3.Media constantly writes about how many lives were wasted to accomplish nothing (and the media is 20 years too late for the story)
4.terrorism toward the U.S. is increasing

4. He sure wants to make this like WW2
I think it would be nice if the Middle East could have its own people run their own gov. but I just feel this is setting it back for years. Please do not tell me about Ger. and Japan. It was not the same or the same type people.

5. Important, all right - "the biggest mistake since the cold war" as Clark
called it. Don't stop calling it "the Bush war"
