Let's just keep doing the little things, OK? (Fairfield Inn - Atl, GA)
I recently stayed in a Fairfield Inn in Atlanta. When I turned on the room television, instead of defaulting to the normal "Welcome" screen up pops Fox News!

Just now, I received via email a request to participate in their guest survey. When the page came up for comments, I wrote this:

When powered up, the room television "defaults" to Fox News, rather than the conventional "Hotel Welcome" screen. Is this deliberate, and is it corporate policy? If so, you will no longer find me frequenting your hotels. The Fox News commitment to being fair and balanced is laughable at best, and if this type of "quasi-subliminal" behavior reflects the beliefs of Marriott then I believe I am better served at other hotel chains.

I know it's not much, but I am doing my best to point the fact that I am no longer willing to take even the SLIGHTEST jabs without fighting back.

I'm curious as to if they will respond, and if they do what low level flunky has to do it.

2. Thanks for taking action.
The corporate propaganda tentacles are spreading everywhere. One never knows where they will reach next.

3. fairfield inn
it's not a corporate driven policy. it's more likely chosen by the hotels individually depending on who their typical customer is. try going to florida and you'll have disney channel as the default. although it does show how far cnn has fallen when they can't even be the default in atlanta.

4. I've stayed in them all over the country

many times - first time I have ever seen anything other than "welcome."

Why do you say it is an individual policy?
