Election night tapes for sale on eBay
They say you can buy anything on eBay, but I wasn't expecting to find this. I was doing some browsing and found this listing:

"The 2004 Presidential election,President George W.Bush and his challenger Massachusetts Senator John Kerry,November 2nd was JUDGEMENT DAY.

Who wasn't glued to their television from 7:00 P.M. that Tuesday til Wednesday Afternoon?

Who had to get to sleep early and missed many of the projections of states?

Were you at work- when the news broke Senator Kerry conceded the election ? -Senator Kerry's concession speech? -President Bush's victory speech?

Here is your chance to to relive this years Presidential Election.

The election coverage is on FOUR (6 HOUR) TAPES."

There was one bid at $19.99. I emailed the seller and asked what channel/station he/she had taped, but I haven't heard anything. The seller has a few other tapes listed of other political televised events. The seller's feedback rating is fine.

I thought someone might find this interesting or useful.

1. E-bay the voting fraud hearing tapes.
It would be a great way to get the attention of those holiday shoppers on E-bay. Quick! Does anyone have tapes of the hearings that you could copy and list for a pre-holiday auction sale?

2. Neat idea, Liberty Belle
I'm selling a few things on the eeb right now, and I can tell you, the Christmas prices are going through the roof. This could even be a fundraiser, but how will we decide who is worthy of our donations.

If I knew how to insert one of those little round heads with the eyes pinwheeling, I would put it right here.

Love your moniker.

3. Like this? ;-) Now, about E-bay...

When you hit "reply" look at the top and you'll find a "Smilies Lookup" option. Click on it and scroll down to pick any of these fun pics.

I love the idea of a DU fundraiser on E-Bay, actually. We need someone in charge. Then we need to auction off multiple copies of something like "HOW OUR VOTES WERE STOLEN."

The key is this: In the item "description" we list key facts about voting fraud, with links to sites to learn more. Free education of anyone who clicks on the items!

5. I'm a very small time seller on eBay, and during the campaign
every time I sold something, I shipped a little card along with the item. It was a reminder to vote, and "may I suggest Kerry/Edwards". I thought about putting something in my listing, but I figured eBay would go ballistic. I'll look into it and see what kind of policies I can find about political issues.
eBay is an odd place, though. They got on me, because I offered a choice of colors for the same item. They said I had to have a separate listing for each color. Now mind you, these were $2.50 little stuffed toys for dogs! Jeesh...such greed! I always wondered if it was retaliation for the many reports I've sent them about items I've found that do violate their policies (like puppies once, and many times endangered species parts). I'll never know for certain.

4. I got a response from the seller.
The seller stated the tape included mostly CNN, MSNBC, NBC, and a little bit of Fox:puke:
Understand, I'm not trying to sell this item, or trying to help this seller in any way. I just thought someone might want to look at the tape for exit poll data, or for comments, or to have a taped record of the coverage.
I can't believe the stuff listed. There were ballot boxes alleged to be from the 2000 election and ballots, too. Incredible. I guess people will buy/sell anything. But then I guess that's what make us such an interesting bunch- diverse as can be! Some of us are :+ , someO8) , some  or:silly: . But at least there are many of us who are  and trying to find ways to get * the hell out of office.
(Gee, that was fun!Love those smilie things!)
