4. My husband was watching this earlier, so I caught pieces of it.
(I don't watch cable news save CSPAN.)

In any case, the glimpses I did see were of a *very* sharp and compassionate guy. Nothing escapes him!

but his interview with Charlie Rose shows he's pretty stuck in ~1978 in understanding the electorate in general and what the Party is forced into. He's in denial of all the problems that sank him in 1980 except for the hostage crisis itself.

7. he was not very politically astute as President, either. Good heart,
intelligence are not enough when you are not good at problem assessment and problem solving.
