Have they reported at all that atrocity that occured last week where the Republicans attached an anti-choice rider to the appropriations bill? If the media continues to enable things like this to fly under the radar, then there is no reason to think that this country will ever rise up in protest, no matter how bad things become.

It reminds me of something a Supreme Court justice said a while back. I think it was Potter Stewart who said that democracy will not necessarily disappear overnight. Rather, it will be like the sunset. From moment to moment, you can't perceive that the sun is setting, but eventually you will come to the realization that night has fallen.

1. Frist promised the Dems 5 hours of debate - but it passed
This is the last I remember. It passed since it was in the Omnibus Bill. But Frist promised 5 hours of debate on it at a later date.
